About the event
The Social Roots Book Club is a welcoming space for women of color to come together and explore literature by Black or Indigenous authors. Through our shared experiences and viewpoints, we delve into the narratives that reflect the challenges and triumphs of BIPOC communities. In this community, we celebrate diversity and amplify voices that resonate with our identities, fostering meaningful discussions and connections through the power of storytelling. We meet every Wednesday at 8 PM online via ZOOM. Join us as we honor our roots and empower each other through the pages of literature!
Guidelines for entering into the Social Roots Book Club
Respect each other and their opinions, stories, and feelings. If you care to share, be mindful of our time together and limit storytelling to three to six minutes to allow others a moment for time for their own reflection and processing.
Integrity is very important to keeping this a safe space for women of color and femmes.
